1. Le Panier and the Vieille Charité

The oldest quarter climbs from the port in stairs and small squares. Start at the Vieille Charité courtyard and let a resident show you the rest.

Tip: Wear shoes for steps; Le Panier is all slopes.

2. Noailles: the city's kitchen

Spice shops, bakeries and market stalls from every shore of the Mediterranean. Cook what you buy with a host.

Tip: Go with an empty bag and a curious appetite.

3. The calanques, responsibly

Limestone inlets inside a national park. Walk with a group, carry water, and follow access rules — some calanques require a reservation in summer.

Tip: In high summer, fire-risk closures can apply — check the national park before you go.

4. The port at sunset

Join the evening walk around the Vieux-Port, then a shared table in Cours Julien.
