Solo Traveller Guide
What would you like to do?
Travel France alone without being alone — group journeys, hosts and places to meet.
1. Choosing where to go
Cities with strong café and market cultures are the easiest to meet people in: Bordeaux, Nantes, Montpellier, Lyon.
2. Join, don't just visit
Pick one recurring thing per city — a choir rehearsal, a bal, a language table — and go twice.
3. Travel together
Join a planned journey or launch one of the platform's itineraries with your dates; companions find you.
4. Staying safe
Meet in public places first, share your plans with someone, and use the platform's block and report tools whenever something feels wrong.
Tip: Emergency number in France: 112.
