A Morning in Lyon
What would you like to do?
From the Croix-Rousse market to the Rhône quays, one morning shared with strangers who stop being strangers.
8:00 — The hill wakes up
You climb the stairs from the Terreaux with a coffee in hand. At the top, the boulevard is already lined with stalls: cheese, chard, the first clementines. A market-to-pot group meets by the fountain; the host hands you a list and a basket.
10:00 — Cooking in a borrowed kitchen
Eight people, one kitchen, a radio. Somebody knows how to fold ravioli; somebody else knows nothing and makes the best dressing. Names get learnt over peeling.
12:30 — Lunch at one table
The table is too small and nobody minds. Plans form: Thursday choir, Saturday walk, a bal next month.
14:00 — Down to the river
Half the group walks down to the Rhône quays. Tai chi on the grass, children on bikes, the city in the sun.
